  • Many state employment offices provide help with resumes and cover letters, interview prep, etc. one-on-one or in classes. A few also provide job support groups: State employment offices.
  • Some enlightened colleges and universities recognize that a job search crisis time is a good time to strengthen ties with alumni/ae and extend the services of their Career Centers to former students.
  • Local churches, community centers, public libraries, etc. often schedule speakers who can help job seekers, and some of them provide recurring support in terms of speakers and meetings. Often these announcements will appear in local weekly newspapers.
